  • This was painted mainly from imagination, but based on countless actual places I've seen over the years. This is the first artwork I've posted in over 3 years on Facebook. The pandemic took a toll in more ways than one. I'm gradually getting back into things. The original title was "It Ain't Easy Being Violet, Either", mainly as a play on an exhibition titled "It's Not Easy Being Green", managed by the Mid-Michigan Art Guild. The painting won 2 prizes, including "Jurors Choice Award", although I'm not sure how this differs from 1st Place (which I didn't win).
