Michigan’s Upper Peninsula has two rivers named ‘Black’; this one is located in the eastern half. The scene depicts the river located just upstream from a nearby campground. A trout fisherman came by to observe what I was up to. ‘Er you paintin’ purty pitchers?’, he asked. I assured him I was. -
