I try to capture my sense of encounter with a
subject to express an inner truth, rather than the 'truth' promoted
by any particular school. Perhaps the art of painting has now
moved beyond the 20th Century '-ism' stage into something that simply reflects
one's mental landscape in a uniquely personal manner, without the need
for external definitions.
